Pesach Booklet

The occurrence of erev Pesach on Shabbos is an irregular phenomenon in the Jewish calendar and poses a number of unique problems with regard to Pesach preparations. Rabbi Bleich has authored a booklet entitled Halachos of Erev Pesach Which Occurs on Shabbos that discusses in detail the procedures to be followed.

The booklet is available without charge to members and friends of our Congregation. Please contact the Synagogue office if you wish to receive a copy.

I hereby appoint Rabbi Dr. J. David Bleich, spiritual leader of Congregation B'nai Jehuda, to serve as any agent for the disposal of Chometz. I hereby authorize Rabbi Bleich to dispose of any and all manner of leaven, including foodstuffs and other materials containing adulterated Chometz or whose Chometz content is doubtful, which may be in my possession on Friday, March 26, 2021, wherever these items may be, whether at home, place of business or elsewhere. Rabbi Bleich shall have full authority to arrange the terms and conditions of such disposal. I further authorize Rabbi Bleich to convey together with the aforesaid items a leasehold in any and all areas in which such items may be stored as well as the right of access to such items.
